About An AE Film


Alexander Etseyatse


Writer/Director Alexander Etseyatse is an all around arts enthusiast who found his passion for film during his early days in high school on the streets of Brooklyn, New York. At Brooklyn College, Mr. Etseyatse wrote and directed two shorts entitled "First Sight" and thesis short "Caught Up". AE Graduated from Brooklyn College with a BA in Film Production. 

Alexander Etseyatse started a small film company called An AE Film and has produced over 3 short films under this company. With “Abidjan” (2010), “Mikel’s Faith” (2011) & “Four One Nine” (2012)  doing very well on the Film Festival circuit, with over 80 Film Festivals and 25 wins between each around the world (Cannes, Berlin, South Africa & Los Angeles). Abidjan and Mikel's Faith is also now available on Amazon. 

We are currently in development for our 1st feature film entitled “Otis”. Otis was selected as a quarterfinalist of the 2014 Scriptapalooza Screenwriting Competition and made it to the second round of Sundance Screenwriters Lab 2015. Currently at NYU on a Tisch school of Arts Graduate scholarship and Michael & Anna Havas Film Institute scholarship, getting an MFA in Screenwriting/Directing.
